Minelab X Change 2 Download: Create an Unlimited Database of Your Detecting Information

With Minelab XChange 2 application, it is much easier to create and edit Discrimination patterns and Tone ID Profiles, create new User Modes, and adjust detector's Universal Settings on your Personal Computer (PC) or laptop, and in the comfort of your home. Then you can easily download/upload User Modes to and from your Minelab CTX-3030 metal detector through a USB cable.

In fact, all info on editing Discrimination patterns and tone ID Profiles is accompanied with just one illustration and fits in ONE PAGE (!) of the User Manual. To cover the same two aspects of the XChange 2 usage, this tutorial includes 10 pages with 30 illustrations. However, the following illustrated tutorial only covers in details the editing and downloading/uploading aspects of the XChange 2 program usage.

All the below-described procedural steps may seem "too much" to you, but in reality, after completing the editing and uploading/downloading steps a few times, you will sure find them simple. The Minelab XChange 2 application is user-friendly indeed.

E-Trac Xchange is a program that allows users to modify and save detector settings to their PCs or upload them into their E-Trac. It features categories such as Automation, Backup & Restore, Battery Utilities, Benchmark, Calculators, CD & DVD Software, Clipboard Tools, Device Assistants, Disk Management, File Compression, File Managers, Fonts, Gadgets & Widgets, Network, Plugins & Addons, Remote Computing, System Optimization, Virtualization, and Drivers.

After you save your modified User Mode, the XChange 2 front page will open up with a confirmation message "Saved Successfully", and the Summary (a rectangle) of your modified User Mode with a new name (if you changed it) and description will appear in the Item List (if necessary, scroll down the list to find the item).

NOTE: both edited and new User Modes are only "accepted" by the detector when the USB is removed - the CTX-3030 checks for changes in the database and applies them. If you turn off the detector instead of unplugging the USB, these changes will not be applied correctly.
